DID YOU KNOW THAT...?
- Installing programmable thermostats, or building automation systems
can save you up to 1/3 off your energy bill if temperatures are setback
for at least eight hours per day.
- Lights, motors, and fans can be scheduled to meet demand or building
occupancy. It almost goes without saying that if devices that currently
operate 24 hours a day are shut off for 12 hours a day that a 50% energy
savings may be realized.
- High energy use items such as chillers and boilers with manual or
fixed setpoints can have their operating temperatures controlled based
on demand, or building occupancy.
- Most rooftop units or air handlers can use cooler outdoor air, when
available, to cool your building through the use of an optional
economizer. These can be retrofitted to most units if not currently
installed and can save 25% or more of their operating costs depending on
the economizer strategy utilized.
Along with our partners we can help provide
suggestions to help reduce your energy expenditures by evaluating your
existing operations, equipment, and sequences and providing solutions such
as:
- The upgrading or installation of automation equipment and expected
payback.
- Adding or modifying existing controls to turn off, or set back
equipment based on demand or environmental conditions.
- Providing preventative maintenance to ensure peak operating
conditions are maintained.
